UK Premiere:

Letters from Wolf Street

In collaboration with The London Migration Film Festival, we’re excited to present the first official SplicD screening and the UK premiere of Letters from Wolf Street (2025), directed by Arjun Talwar.

Questioning the boundaries of migration and inclusion of Polish society, Indian filmmaker Arjun Talwar zooms into the street of his Warsaw home. One day, rainbow flags fly over Wolf Street, only to be replaced by Polish flags and white nationalists the next morning.

In his search for community against the backdrop of rising fascism, Talwar asks if one ever stops being a stranger in a chosen home.

The screening will take place on 30 November at 6:15 pm at Genesis Cinema.

Following the film, Gather with Anis will host a writing workshop, offering space to reflect, write, and connect around the themes raised in the documentary.

About us…

SplicD Cinema (pronounced ‘spliced’) is a collective founded by Afra Nuarey, Mariana Enriquez Denton Bustinza, and Marta Cappozzo. Born out of the 2025 Barbican Young Film Programmers cohort, SplicD originated from a desire to bring together film buffs and casual cinemagoers alike. Featuring archival gems, personal faves, and bold new voices, SplicD aims to build a community that can talk about ourselves and the world around us through the lens of film.

Previously, our trio have both worked together with the other Barbican Young Programmers to organise Chronic Youth Film Festival 2025 as well as individually as pre-selectors for different festivals and as filmmakers and editors.
